Grain Free Hot Cereal with Full Fat Coconut Milk


This is by far my favorite breakfast recipe all year round. It offers plant based protein as well as healthy fats to fuel you throughout the day. 

  • 1 cup full fat coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup almond meal (you can use your leftover meal from homemade almond milk)
  • 3 tbsp ground flax seeds 
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp cardamom 
  • 1 pinch of Hawaiian salt 
  • Frozen raspberries, blueberries 
  • 1/2 cup of walnuts 

Heat the cup of coconut milk in a pot on low. As the coconut milk is heating add in the almond meal, flax seed meal, chia seeds, cinnamon, cardamom and salt and stir. Once mixture thickens remove from pot and place in a bowl. Top with frozen berries and walnuts. Drizzle coconut milk on top and serve.
